Music at Brook

Rationale

Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity and provides opportunities for children to increase their self-confidence and sense of achievement.   At Brook, as musicians, children will develop their love of music and knowledge and skills through: performing (singing and playing tuned and untuned instruments); listening to and expressing opinions about music from different traditions and by a range of composers; improvising and composing music for a range of purposes; experimenting with ways of notating their compositions, including standard notation.
