Reception at the Wyre Forest

Reception visited the Wyre Forest for the fabulous finish of our topic ‘We’ve got the Whole World in our Hands’.

We enjoyed walking through the forest and seeing the different types of trees. We also realised that the sounds were different to those we hear near our homes.

We studied objects made from wood and watched birds using binoculars. The woodland ranger showed us how to find out which animals were using the forest by looking for clues and we had to find hidden animals. We were also able to have a close look at a large ants nest. We didn’t stay to look for long!
