Science at Brook
Rationale
At Brook we see our children as scientists, gaining access to a wealth of knowledge and information through exploring the world around them. Our children will be taught to be inquisitive and to be confident in raising and investigating questions. They will show resilience to keep going when the answer eludes them and be reflective and innovative in their working. We will teach them to develop their curiosity and expertise in safely understanding how things work and why things happen. A Brook scientist will be confident in explaining their ideas and be able to make links across all areas of the subject, being able to debate using a range of appropriate scientific vocabulary and language.
